Welcome to the USS Yorktown!

The USS Yorktown is a Excelsior II class starship which serves during the year 2398.  It's mission is to support the Federation's frontier initiatives such as colony support, trade interdiction, and scientific advancement.  The rise of vigilante groups such as the Fenris Rangers and with neighboring powers under tremendous stress, the Federation is struggling to maintain order and balance within its own borders.  The need to check in on colonies and the ability to patrol the frontier has been neglected for years.

We are an 15+ rated sim set in the prime Star Trek universe.  This means that we follow canon as far as the Hobus supernova, Lower Decks, and world building flashbacks in Picard are concerned.  We will make adjustments based on revelations that impact the Federation at-large on the tv screen, however we do not seek to copy these shows.  Our goal is to create our own stories and build our own world.  Our mission structure will be episodic in nature with some overarching storylines that thread things together, much like what you would see in The Next Generation, DS9, Voyager, and Strange New Worlds.

We do not seek the perfect crew.  We want writers and players of any skill and experience level who want to help build a community where everyone is involved in building our little community of characters as they find themselves confronting a multitude of challenges.
